13th July Weekly Training

Today's training was a little different compared to last week. We were much slower and always exceeded time limit. We have established that we have a lack of responsibility and also we are too proud of our previous achievements. We were split up into two groups were we did marching. I was in a group with 9 other squad mates. We were being taught by Jasper sir. He taught us about the proper way to bang your foot and to march. He kept on telling us that if we feel thirsty or tired, it would help us afterwards. Although I am a little sore from training, I could understand his point of view. We also had a unit photo shoot today. Yes, were in the burning sun but all we cared about was accomplishing our first unit photo together with the Sec 2s and 2s. We also received our unit tees today. I felt a sense of welcoming upon receiving them and could not wait to receive our name tags and school collar pin. I feel proud to be in NP as I learned many lessons along the way. Responsibility. Sense of urgency. Discipline. Respect. Those are just some of the few words that come into my mind when I think of NP. Today's training was fun yet tiring. I hope me and my squad and persevere and become better CLs in the future.

Wesley, 13th Batch

Today’s training was exhausting and stressful as we had our corporal test today. It was tiring as we had to repeat the drills over and over again. However after the drills were done, I realized that I had a lot of places to improve on. It was stressful as we had to remember a lot of stuffs like the timing for the drills and the knots we had to tie. We also needed to remember the knots family and it’s function. I would like to apologize to the sirs and ma’am’s as they kept having to raise their voice in order for us to reply them. To sum up, I feel that there is a lot of places for the squad to improve on like the timing for the drills and our response. I wold like to apologize again for making the sirs and ma’am’s shout at us by raising their voice.
