Today some Sec 3s and 2s went to the K9 unit located at Choa Chu Kang Road. Our teacher said that this visit is prestigious as not everyone will get to visit it. Hence I was happy that I got to go for the visit.

When we went there, we sat at a mini stadium in front of a huge field. After a while, some K9 dogs were released into the field and they showed us what they could do. I was really impressed as they were really obedient and their tricks were very impressive. They could sniff out things, jump over certain obstacles and have a really strong bite.

After that we got to make friends with those dogs and we found out that they were retired. We played with those dogs and they were really fun to play with . We encouraged those who were scared of dogs to play with the dogs as well.

It was a really fun and exciting experience for me.

k-9 unit was a different experience for me . We get to learn new things about what the police dog do . Some are for sniffing for drugs and some are for chasing .The sirs showed us how they trained the dogs and how the dog sniff for drugs and what they do when they sniff until drugs .The dogs there are trained and they listen to what the sirs say . There were retire dogs too ,some will either be adopted or will just stay in there . The retire dogs was super cute and fun to play with . k-9 unit was fun and looking forward to go visit k-9 unit again .
