Before the unit outing, I was feeling doubtful about going as I had imagined the worst case scenarios for example fainting while hiking. However, after raising my concerns to our spam chat, most of my squad mates assured me that they would look out for each other and especially the Muslim squad mates. While on the way to Coney Island I and my small group of friends were doing cheers at the back and hyping each other up. When we were about to play Snatch the Tag, the lightning alert when off and we were forced to return into the sheltered area. Despite the turn of events, I still had fun with our different houses. We played some ice breaker games and bonded with our houses. After a while, one of our squad mates arrived drenched from the rain together with Mr Loh and the one thing that crossed all of our minds was if we had an extra change of clothes for our squad mate. I learned the values of teamwork and proactiveness. Teamwork as we needed to work together to encourage one another to continue walking and proactiveness, as at the start of the outing we were asked some questions to think about throughout the outing. This questions include, how can we improve it. In my opinion we can improve it by preparing a wet weather activity in case of such turn of events.

Despite the bad weather on Monday , I feel like my squad mates and I had a really fun time as we got to bond with each other during the games and songs and cheers that we did . I was a little nervous before heading to the unit outing because i did not know what to expect . My expectations for the unit outing was the Sirs and Ma’am’s being strict on us , instead , they were really friendly and encouraging . Some of the Sirs and Ma’am’s were really interactive as well because when we were making our way to Coney island , they would walk beside us and ask us questions not making us feel as awkward . I definitely did not regret going for the unit outing as it is a totally new experience . I did not expect the unit outing to be heading out to Coney island . Since the muslims are fasting , I have learnt to care for them , look out for them if they are feeling unwell and make sure the muslims are in good condition so that nothing would happen during the unit outing . Although the lightning alert went off when we were about to play our first bonding activity , the sirs and ma’am’s did not panic and guided us to what we were supposed to do next . I felt that we all had a lot of fun because we got to play several games that involved everyone in the whole company to have fun together in their respective houses and having to bond time together with the sec2s and sec3s . It was truly a memorable and meaningful unit outing . I hope we have more into outings as fun as the one we had on Monday .

Monday’s unit outing was very fun although there was rain. I was able to bond with the Sec 1s and the Sir and Ma’am. Although it was raining, we managed to play a lot of games. One of the games that we played was MRT. We also did songs and cheers. To sum up although it was raining, we still manage to bond with the Sec 1s and the sir and ma’am.

Unit outing was a fun event even though it rained and we didn't get to go Coney island but we get to bond with our seniors and juniors during the bonding time . we play a lot of bonding games such as Mrt , concentration and more . we also did songs and cheers such as purple light , i ask my love and many more as we could not proceed on due to the heavy rain. I also managed to know some of the Sec 1s name as I have never seen them before.
