At first, I thought that the camp would be another boring camp full of uninteresting activities with a bunch of people whom I do not know personally. However, the experience helped me become a better person as normally, during weekly trainings, I'm more quiet and rarely take initiative but during this camp, I realised that being more open and taking initiative makes the experience more fun, especially when I was the first one in my group to do the WCJ (Water Confidence Jump). It creates a new experience as the environment is new and you do not really know what to expect. I really enjoyed the camp as it has taught me to take Initiative, be more open and experience activities outside of my comfort zone.

- John Eric (11th Batch)

During ATC, I have learned to speak up more, take the initiative to tell my group mates to be fast and also ask them to contribute suggestions for our campfire performance. I have also overcome challenges like rock climbing as it was my first time doing it. The water confidence test was also a huge challenge to me as I was scared of heights but it was very fun as my group mates encouraged me. In the end, I wanted to try it again. Throughout this camp, I had stepped out of my comfort zone and helped my group mates and also help out in my group's campfire performance.

- Denese Ong (11th Batch)

Overall, the camp was very enriching. I had to face my biggest fear head on - heights. Never would I have expected myself to be brave enough to zip line down from a seven-story tower. Besides that, I made a few new friends in the camp. Throughout the camp, I had to look out for my group mates and they did the same. We helped each other out and I can definitely say that I look forward to talking to them in the future. I realised that I was much more proactive this year. I tried to put in effort to volunteer consistently and lead the team. Although the camp lasted for just 3 days, I feel that it has changed me to become a better leader. This camp is an unforgettable experience. - Jaslyn Cheang (10th Batch)

During the camp, I learnt how to communicate and work together as a team. Communication-wise, we had to talk with each other to share our ideas. For instance, during shelter building, we had to communicate and plan strategies to build the shelter so that rain will not enter. We also worked together for fire starting as our groups did not have enough twigs as kindle, causing the fire to die, so we had to send some of our members to find the twigs. We did a good job as the fire continued surviving. Overall, this camp was a great experience as I conquered my fear of heights and made new friends. Hence, I really enjoyed this camp and would never forget this experience. - Aryan Singh (10th Batch)
