I feel that the experience from NDO is very special as we are doing drills in public. NDO has taught me many things like perfecting our drills and timing. I enjoyed wearing the uniform as the chances of wearing a number 1 uniform is very rare. On the actual day, I felt very nervous as I thought I was going to mess up my marching like how I did in the past training but I felt that we all did it perfectly and sharply. -De Xun (11th Batch)
NDO was a day where and when the GOH contingent had the opportunity to wear their Number 1 uniform with pride. Greendale NPCC had combined with Greendale NCC to make up the GOH contingent and it was indeed a fruitful experience as we all learned how to get along with each other well despite our differences, for instance, the timing for certain commands. Even though misunderstandings often occur, all of us managed to execute our drills with grace and pride as we were all open to criticism which we used constructively. Personally, I am satisfied with the outcome. Even though it was raining heavily a while before the parade, luck was on our side and we managed to go on with the original sequence even though there was a bit of a drizzle. NDO was an eye-opener as I have learnt how to manage my time wisely as my Saturday mornings were occupied and be more open minded.
