Area 7 Games Day 2016

I had a great time during the Area 7 games day as we had fun and I had learned some important values through the different games and activities conducted during the games.Firstly, we learned the value teamwork, we have to work together in order to achieve our goal. Secondly we learned the value of sportsmanship. By learning this value we learnt to accept defeat and instead of being sad, we congratulate the winning school, Compassvale Sec. Throughout all these events, we understand people from other schools better so that we can build a good relationship with one another in the future. I hope in the future, we could be the winning school of Area 7. Most importantly, we have to remember the values and be kind to each other.

Area 7 games day was indeed a fun and memorable one as it is my first time participating in this event.We learned a lot of meaningful core values such as sportsmanship and teamwork.Although we are not the overall championship for this event,we were still proud to achieve 3 trophies and learn many values through this event. The first important core value we achieve is teamwork,we work together as one and planned our plans with our different ideas in order to ace our activity, which we required us work together and finish our activity as fast as possible. The second most important value we learnt is sportsmanship.We learnt how to be more responsive about not winning the overall championship for Area 7 games day as well as we congratulate the winning team by clapping our hands and cheering for them, as they deserved the awards as they painstakingly worked hard for it. Lastly,it is not all about winning the overall championship,it is all about bringing us together as one and achieving our target and fostering friendships across different schools,therefore enhancing greater teamwork and sportsmanship across different schools.Most importantly is we learnt teamwork and sportsmanship as well as being kind to each other and continues to encourage each other despite our failure to achieve our goals.

During the Area 7 Games Day,there were many games taking place.Although

I only participated in one of them,I could see the sheer of joy on their faces when they were taking part in the games.Even if we did not achieve first in the overall,I still saw that my own squad mates tried their absolute best.This made me proud of my squad as they showed determination throughout the various games. Because of this,we managed to clinch prizes for some of the games and that made me feel even more proud of my unit.Determination is a value that cannot be taught and can only be shown.One example was when I saw my squad mate wiping the sweat from their forehead during a game.I could tell that he was tired.Despite this,he persevered on and continued playing the game to the best of his ability.This made me feel inspired and made me realise how determined my own squad mates can be when they have a task to be done.After that day I really learned that determination is

something very important if one wants to succeed.

Through this Area 7 Games Day,I had more chances to bond with the juniors by playing games with them and I had a very enjoyable time getting to know them.The games we played were fun and I was able to have a chance to experience games that I never tried before and it ended up surprisingly fun but the favourite game I like is shuttle run frenzy as I like to run a lot.I appreciate the efforts made by the seniors to make it a fun day and I hope to join this kind of activities again
